164 | Blessed Are The Pure In Heart
In this episode of the PACT podcast, we explore the meaning of being "pure in heart" as discussed in Matthew 5:8. We define the heart as the entirety of our being, encompassing our soul, mind, and emotions. We emphasize that purity of heart means having a singular focus and devotion to God, free from divided interests. We acknowledge the challenge of achieving a pure heart, given that the Bible describes the heart as deceitful and sick. Our hope lies in Christ, who transforms our hearts through faith and repentance, leading us to pursue holiness. We discuss the connection between happiness and holiness, asserting that true happiness is found in a committed relationship with God. Ultimately, we look forward to the promise that the pure in heart will see God, both in a spiritual sense now and in a future, face-to-face encounter. We recognize that as we grow in holiness, we gain a clearer understanding of God, creating a cycle of transformation in our lives.
